YOU’VE MADE A FILM, BUT NOW WHAT?
HOW CAN YOU GET YOUR FILM SEEN BY THE WIDEST AUDIENCE?
HOW CAN YOU MAXIMIZE SALES?
HOW DO YOU GET IT TO A DISTRIBUTOR AND GET THE BEST DEAL?
SHOULD YOU GO THE DIY ROUTE?
WHAT ABOUT HYBRID DISTRIBUTION?

New Mexico Film & Talent Advocate Christa Valdez will award two local filmmakers a seat in the latest “How to Sell Your Film” workshop, coming up in Albuquerque on Saturday, October 29!

Last year’s scholarship awardee, chosen by the workshop instructors from DocuMentors said, “it was absolutely AMAZING! I was so blown away about the information they gave us and what I took away. It definitely has given me the tools to step my game up! My only wish is it was 2 days because there was so much information.”

This year we’re asking YOU to nominate your favorite New Mexico filmmaker to win a coveted spot at the workshop furnished by Documentors and ChristaValdez.com. Two select filmmakers who submit their own request to attend, which is then followed-up with recommendation letters from their friends or associates will be awarded one scholarship each. All entries and recommendations must be received by midnight on Saturday, October 22. The two awardees will be notified by Monday, October 24.

To enter and submit nominations, email christa@christavaldez.com with the subject line, “Sell Your Film – Workshop Nominee.”

HERE’S WHAT OUR LAST WORKSHOP ATTENDEES SAID:

“Led by Anna Darrah and Jilann Spitzmiller, the workshop was everything the title suggested. SO much information was packed into that eight hour session, very little of which I understood going in. I took roughly 50 pages of notes, which I started to go through last night. It will likely take quite a while to absorb the key parts, but it was worth every cent. Clearly I would have made big, costly mistakes without it. Now I have resources to move forward.” — Daniel Buckley

“I can’t remember when so much useful and topical information was presented in a workshop in such a succinct and accessible way. Thanks for all your hard work.” – Jennifer Townsend
“Thanks for a much needed day of highly useful information and all your big-hearted support and to everyone who showed up. This business ain’t for sissies!!” – Katie Teague

“Your workshop was so very helpful! Thanks to both Jilann and Anna for all your hard work preparing such an informative and well presented seminar–it was worth 16 hours in a car! And I am not a fan of long drives!” – Leslie Epperson

“Thank you for an amazingly informative, well organized, and fun workshop! Please do let us know when you hold a sequel – I have a lot of film friends I’d love to send your way.”- Emily Fraser
“What an amazing presentation! Thank you for creating such a helpful workshop and sharing your wealth of knowledge. Enjoyed meeting new and interesting fellow film makers plus it was fun to see familiar faces.” – Melissa Ash

“Thank you so much for generously sharing knowledge. I learned so much and will now work on a distribution plan with the tools you gave us. Thanks so much!” – Donna Riddle Wells
“Thanks so much! We were the beneficiaries of your incredible knowledge and preparation for this workshop! Well done.” – Jason DeBoer
