WEHT – Letters to Cleo
What ever happened to “Letters to Cleo” you may ask yourself, as I have many times since 1996. I still regularly – well I still have my LTC discs and am on the verge of getting them back out into rotation.
Though the world-wide-web has been at my fingertips for the many years passed since I’ve been curious after the whereabouts of the syrupy, smooth, baby-voice of the lead Kay Hanley, it is just now that I’ve queried her up.
And this is what I’ve found, A REUNION. Hello – touring dates circa 2008!
I “heart” that since I was first so taken with the Boston based crooner on stage at the El Rey Theater she’s sustained her living in her art, including a stint on tour with the teen-phen. Miley Cyrus. Ahh, full circle.
“Heart”, “heart”, “heart” that she’s 40, still bangin’ and older than me. Woot! Woot! “Just living on a Sunday morning, got my toast and tea and I’m warm and…Parody of yourself in color, giving it to everybody but your mother.” Ahhh, 1995.
