Calling All Superheroes
Free Comic Book Day is Saturday May 7th.
Albuquerque’s Tall Tales Comics is not only participating but they are stepping it up in big, big ways!
From Tall Tales:
We are looking for Costumed Superheroes to work at Tall Tales Saturday May 7th to help us gather food for the Albuquerque Store House, and to travel with us to local children’s hospitals (Carrie Tingley, UNMH, and Presbyterian) to see that they get free comic books too.
Anyone with ideas is welcome to bring them to us. We are looking for makeup artists to help with face painting, costume makers, and volunteers of all kinds. If you can bring a great attitude, and a superhero spirit we need you Saturday May 7th.
Special Guests [include] Neil Brown Jr. and Anthony Guajardo from the Walking Dead.
Want to get free tickets to the [next] Albuquerque Comic Con and the Albuquerque Sci Fi Expo? Bring canned food [to Tall Tales on Saturday] with a value equal to the price of tickets and get a gift certificate that can be redeemed for a free admission to the Sci Fi Expo or Albuquerque Comic Con. All food will be donated to the Albuquerque Store House.
