The New Mexico Music Awards – RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE IN ORIGINAL MUSIC PRODUCTION SINCE 1987:
Beginning in 1987, recording industry professionals including songwriters, recording engineers, working musicians and producers set out to achieve cooperation among recording studios and other industry professionals in order to create a climate of professionalism and artistic excellence within the New Mexico music community.
The result was the New Mexico Music Industry Coalition (NM MIC) and the annual MIC Awards banquet and show celebrating the best of recorded music from New Mexico. This awards program, for original music productions recorded and mixed primarily within the state of New Mexico, recognizes excellence for recorded music produced in the previous calendar year.
UPDATE 8/22/11: Baby girl Del Toro-Stweart has arrived. Kimberly Stewart has given birth to her first child with actor Benicio Del Toro, a daughter weighing in at 8lbs and 9oz. Congratulations!

Weekend winds blew more than dust in our faces and weeds into our yards…Sunday afternoon, a breath of fresh air was brought to the fields of Altamont Little League for a Celebrity Softball game.
NM may be famed for its hot air in the fall, but spring softball brought some in the form of smack talk from none other than In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack as Mare-bear more than copped to on Twitter to NM’s Own Resident Goodfella Jackamoe Buzzell!
Mac also tweeted a pic from the game of the IPS head cheerleader also known as Kent Parker, the man who dresses sessy Mary for her turn as sexy Marshall Mary in the show.
Whether it was the wind, the smack talk or that head cheerleader – we’ll never know for sure but IPS eked a win out over Albuquerque’s beloved Breaking Bad cast and crew in the Little League exhibition game.
