And by “Cool” I mean Mike Powers and by “the Gang” I mean all the beautiful ladies and handsome gents of KRQE y KASA Fox 2 News.
With a picture so crystal clear it’s practically 3D you can gaze into the dreamy eyes of Tim Maestas and depth so real you can almost smell the freshness of grooming products on the perfectly coiffed aforementioned Powers.
For a groovier groove check out those weathercasters, esp. at night with their celestial glow as they pop off your set from in front of their green screen.
My one and only complaint is of the swiveling, HD symbols in the sidebars of video frames. Those things are giving me visual Tourette’s, like other simple life forms I’m totally distracted by the tiny shiny objects.
I’m sure I’ll complain again when all the seksi ladies of KRQE begin to give me a complex lookin’ all fly in Hi Def. Check it all out from the rockin’ new set to the FOF Michael Jambalaya (I say that with great respect for diverse and spicy things) every day on KRQE News 13 and Kasa Fox 2 News at 9.
Because we don’t all have $11 million to plunk down on an ancillary building…

Here’s the whack-tacular mess that is the official poster for the upcoming Sex and the City part deux.
This outrageous mess is making all kinds of waves for its lack of photoshop artistry. The Sindicator agrees. They may as well have just magnetic lassoed Kim Catrall’s head right off the Mannequin movie poster.
Better still is the ‘official’ KRQE and the City poster (below). You can see the moving parts version of the doctored Sex and the City crew starting May 27 and the real, foxy ladies of KRQE in their new studio diggs sooooon.
KRQE Mornings et al have captured my attention with their various teasers leading up to the eventual unveiling their brand new studio. But more than that thanks to Jay Leno’s perpetual un-funniness and my affinity for East Coast wit I’ve been falling asleep on the #3 CBS with Dave Letterman (after KASA Fox 2 news and TMZ of course), which has led to some early mornings with Deanna and Mike.
Mike’s voice and delivery are downright hypnotic, and as I stare at him I realize that he’s the calmer, newsie version of the seductively intense Alec Baldwin. Both Mike and Deanna seem even clearer than usual too, maybe their temporary mouse-hole diggs are equipped with better cameras. AnysupermagnifiedHD, they are like 3X life size and clear as day.
Which has brought about a new found appreciation for Deanna’s saucey Paula Abdul look, and though I have never seen her abs, those enviable eyebrows definitely garner a NM’s Own Situation award.
and p.s. it’s nice that KRQE Mornings and the CBS Morn’ Show don’t have a damn ticker at the bottom of the screen distracting my ADD***!
As regularly featured here, here and here, the cast & crew of New Mexico production Breaking Bad give to the community.

Jessica Garate-Kidder put on her game-face and armed herself with KZRR resident Ginsu Chef Rainman to meet the Live Cookalong Challenge with celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay Tuesday night.

Plagued pugilist, Johnny Tapia was sent back to the clink yesterday after committing an alleged parole infraction by traveling within the state, but out of the city to aid in the search and raise awareness about his missing relative without notifying his parole officer.
Tapia will remain in jail until at least July 30 and faces additional “habitual offender” charges that could result in a one year sentence. Tapia’s 29-year-old cousin Aurthur Chavez remains missing.
Yesterday Magistrate Court Judge Delilah Montano-Baca released a ~man arrested by authorities last week, who is charged with 42 (FORTY-TWO IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII II) counts of the child rape of his own granddaughters.
The judge released the suspect without bond or conditions. KRQE reports that the Sandoval County District Attorney is asking Judge Baca to reconsider her decision.
No, those are not mugshots of the stars above. As reported by KRQE news these three stars will soon be shooting their new thriller “The Killer Inside Me” in Santa Fe, expected to bring more film crew jobs and buzz about town.
Kate Hudson seems like she can peyote out in NM, Affleck is a pretty chill dude and more than a decent actor to boot…but this Alba chick can stand to take our boot heel and shove it.
The threesome are due to film in the City Different next month. Hopefully the air up-there will improve “MiserAlba‘s” craptacular acting or at least garner Santa Fe a better review than the one the shiteous actress gave Albuquerque one year ago.
“In Albuquerque there’s really only one restaurant that’s pretty good. You can only take Applebee’s and Chili’s so much. Our big day was hanging out at Wal-Mart for five hours. It was like, ‘Yea Wal-Mart!’”
Just kidding…I’m thrilled with the mention on KRQE by Emmy Award winning Reporter Jessica Garate. Can’t wait to see her in the movies, playing an Emmy Award winning Reporter, à la Jeremy Jojola, playing a reporter in Transformers.
