Frank co-stars Michael Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The indie comedy is about a wild band lead by Fassbender, as Frank with Gyllenhaal as his “intense”, right-hand woman. The story is told through the eyes of the group’s newest addition Domhnall Gleeson (Anna Karenina). Scoot McNairy (Argo), and Jack White drummer Carla Aza costar. Leonard Abrahamson (Adam & Paul) is directing from a script by Jon Ronson and Peter Straughan (The Men Who Stare At Goats). via THR
Last seen going knife-to-knife in “Machete”, Danny Trejo and Steven Seagal have agreed to reunite for “Forces of Execution”, a new Keoni Waxman (“Maximum Security”) directed actioner that we’re told will likely get underway in the Winter.
The film, also set to feature Ving Rhames (“Piranha 3DD), is “probably what you’d call a small step-up for Seagal. Like the last one – bigger budget, bigger co-stars and more attention is being paid to the scripts but also the action sequences”, an insider tells us.
Seagal apparently had a great time working with Trejo on “Machete” and welcomed the opportunity to work together again.
We are in the middle of a movie storm coming to NM. Over the next six months we are in need of extras on four productions and are currently putting a new database together. These productions will need all ages and ethnicities.
PLEASE gather up all your friends and Family and come to our Casting Call this Saturday or Sunday.

The most trusted website on the internets (not really) is reporting that Johnny Depp will take a big pay cut to film “The Lone Ranger”.
Walt Disney Pictures has come to financial terms with producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski, Johnny Depp, and other key members of the cast and crew of “The Lone Ranger”. Changes include a reduction in the budget from $250 million to approximately $200 million. Filming will still take place in New Mexico, with some additional filming in Utah instead of Texas as originally planned. The film’s remaining supporting cast are still being cast in Los Angeles, and smaller speaking roles, extras, stand-ins, and photo-doubles for the film’s stars are being cast in New Mexico and Utah.
There had been a huge extras casting call scheduled in Silver City, New Mexico on August 21, 2011. Disney pulled the plug just one week before the call was to take place. The studio claimed that the budget was just too high. Director Gore Verbinski had already finalized the shooting script and signed on his lead actors, Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp – both of which would have to be paid whether the project went further or not. The Screen Actors Guild never removed “The Lone Ranger” from it’s (sic) production list, leading to speculation that this delay has been nothing more that a ploy by the studio to get the budget reduced by $50 million.
In addition to cast and crew changes, other cuts include reducing the amount of CGI effects, and vendors working on the film such as special effects houses and even hotels have agreed to accept reduced guaranteed fees in order to assure that the costs of the production remain acceptable to the studio. There was also several pricey steam locomotive train sequences that were to be in the film, but have now been cancelled to further cut costs.
Blaze You Out is looking for men and women, 18 and over, to work as background actors for a club scene that will be shooting on September 15 at Buffalo Thunder Resort near Espanola.
If you are interested in being on a movie set as an extra please send a current color picture of yourself along with your height/weight/age/where you live/phone number to: email@example.com
This is a non-paying job but there will be prizes (iTunes gift cards) raffled off during the evening. Lunch will be served as well as snacks.
Blaze You Out is a film that focuses on a young woman’s journey to locate her missing sister in the heart of a brutal underworld controlled by the heroin trade. The story takes place in the beautiful Esperanza Valley in Northern New Mexico, a basin which belies an underlying sickness, a sinister insidious spiritual downfall caused by decades of drug use; but the protagonist’s journey into this brutal battleground ultimately releases the lurking demons and restores hope.
The film stars Elizabeth Pena (La Bamba) and Q’orianka Kilcher (The New World)

Like the too little known quote from Barbara Walters to her adopted daughter:
“…born in my heart. Maybe not in my uterus, but in my heart,”
So is our beloved adopted crew thar’ above. True Grit may have an eccentric birth mother in California and ruffneck pa in Texas, but for a time the Grit was all ours.
And we love ’em and root for ’em and take a little applause for the Coen Bros flick for ourselves as True Grit opens WIDE today.
Just look at that movie poster through the eyes of the proud care takers we were. Memmer the April snow? Youmemmer…
Look at ’em – the bestest lil’ actor out there, our repeat NM actor, Mr. Matt Damon, the Oscar Winner Jeff Bridges (for his turn in NM movie Crazy Heart) and that strapping, turk Josh Brolin from NM’s Academy Award winning No Country for Old men and the unsung NM film In the Valley of Elah.
So though this film has outgrown us and spends the holidays with more flashy friends and cities – make no mistake through the life’s blood of this Grit runs true New Mexico.
Don’t forget us young Hailee Steinfeld, sure as you’re to grow into your britches as well as Bridges – New Mexico is behind you and proud like the dickens that that purdy face above took such an incredible turn as the tough as nails, pan faced Mattie Ross in this NM movie.
Here’s NM’s beloved adopted son, Matt Damon flexing his ~acting chops on Letterman last week!
