The John B. Robert Dam in the NE Heights has been in NM Productions from Terminator Salvation to Gamer as of late. Like the 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles of Old Hollywood where the famed Grease finale race scene was shot.
The notoriously papp ridden, star enticing L.A. hang-out The Ivy sits on Robertson Blvd. and serves as the backdrop for many entertainers photo ops and fan ops to sneak a peek at some of their favorite celebs.
Unlike the singularly located Ivy, New Hollywood’s café of choice, Flying Star has multiple sites in our sprawling cityscape and beyond where hipsters, artists, families and even NM’s Own version of a Hem and Fitz may cross paths in their genius.

Cheap date brought to you by vistas and burgers à la old Hollywood & New. NM’s own view from Sandia Peak off Tramway Road, rivals if not reigns over the scene of La La land from Mulholland Drive. And it’s worth noting that the Q boasts a spectacular West Side sunset as well.
There is simply no competition for the homegrown Blake’s Lottaburger. Though it’s reported that the CA + In-N-Out Burger business is headed to Nuevo Mexico, unless the 2x, 3x, 4x, Animal Style, Protein Style, etc., can be converted into queso style, mucho/mas chile style et al Blake’s will remain supremo.
thanks soyjames

We’re not so hot on the hot dogs here in Nuevo México but for late night jonesing or an all hours chile fix, Frontier on Central in Albuquerque is a must. I think even that b*tch Miseralba eventually went there – God knows she wouldn’t lower herself to go to Pink’s on La Brea in Los Angeles.
Once upon a time our area outlet mall was a booming retail destination betwixt ABQ. and Fanta Se but in recent years they’ve lost a little luster and prestige. Fortunately for the shopping inclined the outdoor ABQ Uptown stands in well as the answer to Old Hollywood’s Grove, where high end shopping is nicely paired with starry atmosphere.
