The film’s star Mark Wahlberg is all aces with us for back-to-back NMFilm duty with only kind word and deed to all locals he encountered, including AZUMA sushi owners who say Wahlberg told them his favorite Sunday activities in NM are church and Azuma dining!

Today – Cameras are rolling in the Q on a high stakes NBC television script. The dramatic series pilot, “After Hours” is currently filming and employing even more of New Mexico’s finest! We need this series pick-up as our beloved “Breaking Bad” preps to wrap the final eight episodes of the epic Albuquerque based AMC series.
Mañana’ish – The indie film “Frontera”, is getting set to wrap. The film, starring the lovely Eva Longoria and NMFilm vet Ed Harris has generated a nice bit of buzz with the locals who have caught a glimpse of cast and crew in some rural New Mexico locations.
Along with the aforementioned series finale of “Breaking Bad”, the sure to be glorious season two of the A&E hit series, “Longmire” is getting set to roll this spring…
Today: On the Roswell, NM set of The Rambler, Dermot Mulroney getting into the swing of things, bloodied at the hands of NM’s Own Vince McDaniel.

Yesterday – It’s been many, many yesterdays since we’ve been telling you that Robert Pattinson would soon hit Nuevo México and it looks like he’s been tippy-toeing around. The face that regularly launches tweens and house fraus alike into a manic frenzy was spotted in the City Different (Santa Fe) over the weekend. He and his co-stars in the forthcoming Unbound Captives are likely prize candidates for ushering in the new dawn of Paparazzi scouting going on in NM…
Today – It is official that the eagerly awaited Passion Play starring Mickey Rourke, Megan Fox, Rhys Ifans, Bill Murray, Kelly Lynch will make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this month (Sept. 9-19).
Mañana – It is being reported that Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage will star in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming Bollywood gangster movie Broken Horses coming soon to New Mexico. As we have previously published Mickey Rourke is also slated to star.
Yesterday – as the twang talkin’, gun slingin’ youth Jimmy Blevins, Lucas Black was but a child actor in his turn alongside former child star Henry Thomas (ET) and a fresh faced Matt Damon in NM’s Own All the Pretty Horses back in 2000.
Today – Black is a repeat offender all growed-up in the creepy NM thriller Legion. Both flicks are now available on DVD.
Mañana – Damon will be seen in the upcoming Coen Bros release of True Grit with yet another NM repeat, the one and only Jeff Bridges, who took home the best actor Oscar for his role in the NM film Crazy Heart earlier this year.
The horror/thriller, Intruders due from director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Days Later), in 2011 has reportedly locked-in Clive Owen (Sin City, Closer) and Daniel Brühl (Inglorious Basterds) and is set to film, in part aquí en Nuevo México.
Horror genre giants, Hammer Films have two New Mexico productions forthcoming, The Resident and Let Me In.

Today’s release of IRon Man 2 is tied to NM 3 fold – As previously reported: the teaser above introduces NM’s Thor during Iron’s end credits, the villainous, scene stealing Rourke shot his pick-ups for the movie at Santa Fe’s Garson Studios and lastly the film is brought to us by the incomparable Jon Favreau who is at the helm of the upcoming NM Production Cowboys and Aliens starring those two uglies.

Yesterday – Filmfest feature film fave Coyote County Loser shot in Roswell, NM. Billed as a “romantic comedy for the loser in all of us”, the film is currently in limited release and features NM’s Own Nelson Martinez.
Today – As we’ve been reporting, Knockout starring the pectacular Channing Tatum + is currently in production.
T’was just last week that Channing knocked Avatar out of the top spot with Dear John.

Yesterday – The wartime, thriller, drama Brothers starring Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire which filmed entirely in New Mexico hits theaters December 4th.
Today – X-Men director Brett Ratner is currently tailoring Rakesh Roshan’s film Kites, which was simultaneously shot in Hindu and in English for its highly anticipated global release.
Mañana – It’s being speculated that Kat Dennings may be slated for the role of Marcy Lewis in the upcoming NM filming of Thor.
For Reelz, NM – As we’ve been reporting here, more deets on the NM shoot of Marvel Comics/Disney’s Thor movie are coming to light. Filming will begin in L.A. and roll into Santa Fe March through April 2010.
As announced in October the third season of USA network’s series In Plain Sight will once again film in & around ABQ. beginning in January.
While shooting continues for Fox and Rourke on Passion Play through this December, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Broken Horses also starring Rouke is slated to film in NM next year as broken stateside here.
Yesterday – Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen is now available on DVD, featuring NM’s World Record setting scene for the biggest explosion on film w/actors present.
Today – The Loop, directed by Margaret Whitton, starring Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe), Buck Henry and Rocco Sisto is currently filming in Santa Fe.
Mañana – Men Who Stare at Goats starring George Clooney & Ewan McGregor set for wide release on November 6.
Yesterday – Available on DVD, from the Apatow juggernaut Year One is an unsung (adult) comedy with surprisingly sweeping NM scenes including the hilarity of McLovin & Chief Wiggum/Apu at Tent Rocks, Juggernaut as a Roman in White Sands, Tobias at the Rio Grand and so much more.
Today – Megan Fox is currently in and around NM towns shooting the upcoming thriller Passion Play with fellow animal lover Rourke.
Getting through a scare with her own pooch last week the animalisticactress missed an appearance but donated her dough to a local, non-profit, wild-life rescue zoo.
Yesterday – Sunshine Cleaning filmed in New Mexico back in ’07, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in ’08, opened wide early ’09 and is now available on DVD.
Today – The SNL spawned MacGyver parody is currently in production, starring Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Powers Boothe, Val Kilmer. Release date: April 16, 2010.
