Many local OHI faves landed roles and crew work on the NBC television pilot, “After Hours”, including actor friends Jackamoe Buzzell and Tina Borek!
As pictured above, Applause Talent Agency sent out kudos to their locally repped talent saying, “CHEERS! A huge congrats to the awesome Applause Talent Agency actors that booked roles on the After Hours pilot for NBC! Way to go, Alma Sisneros, Jesus Jr., Stephen A. Eiland, Vic Browder and Harry Zimmerman!”
“After Hours” revolves around the overnight shift in the emergency department of the San Antonio Medical Center.
Former Royal Pains star Jill Flint plays the female lead, BBC actor Eoin Macken stars as former Army medic TC Callahan, who finds himself coming into conflict with his bosses over his unorthodox approach to emergency medicine. Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under) plays embattled hospital administrator, Michael Ragosa.
Flint will play Dr. Jordan Santos, TC’s (Macken) ex-girlfriend, now engaged to someone else. Recently promoted to Chief of the Night Shift, Jordan is ready to prove her worth, all while trying to comply with hospital administration (Rodriguez) and keep a “rogue” TC in check.
Directed by Pierre Morel (From Paris with Love), the hour long Sony Television drama is written and produced by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah.

Yesterday – These pics of the now wrapped NMFilm “Lone Survivor” have bucked Johnny Depp and “The Lone Ranger” from the single most viewed post in this site’s history. The film’s star Mark Wahlberg is all aces with us for back-to-back NMFilm duty with only kind word and deed to all locals he encountered, including AZUMA sushi owners who say Wahlberg told them his favorite Sunday activities in NM are church and Azuma dining!
Check out all our “Lone Survivor” coverage here. Stars Emile Hirsch, Eric Bana, Hunger Games guy Taylor Kitsch and NM’s Own Jerry Angelo are super HOT on the web right now!
Today – Cameras are rolling in the Q on a high stakes NBC television script. The dramatic series pilot, “After Hours” is currently filming and employing even more of New Mexico’s finest! We need this series pick-up as our beloved “Breaking Bad” preps to wrap the final eight episodes of the epic Albuquerque based AMC series.
Mañana’ish – The indie film “Frontera”, is getting set to wrap. The film, starring the lovely Eva Longoria and NMFilm vet Ed Harris has generated a nice bit of buzz with the locals who have caught a glimpse of cast and crew in some rural New Mexico locations.
Along with the aforementioned series finale of “Breaking Bad”, the sure to be glorious season two of the A&E hit series, “Longmire” is getting set to roll this spring…

New Mexico loses its biggest success in television in just months as Breaking Bad will wrap this winter.
There have been many pilot episodes produced here over the past several years including, The Rabbit Factory, Gateway, Reconstruction, and The Odds, none of which were picked-up for a network season schedule.
The ABC Family series The Lying Game, and CBS hit Vegas completed their NM pilots and achieved network season orders, but went elsewhere to film.
Fortunately, the A&E MEGA hit series LONGMIRE has stuck with NM from pilot, through its first season and will head back soon for a full second season!
Now OHI can exclusively report that a new dramatic series will land in New Mexico. The NBC pilot centers around the medical field and is currently in pre-production right here in Albuquerque.
Dateline Hollywood Reoports:
Freddy Rodriguez is set as a lead in the hour long NBC pilot After Hours. The Sony TV project, written/executive produced by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah and to be directed by Pierre Morel, revolves around the graveyard shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center. Rodriguez will play hospital administrator Michael Ragosa who is the new Comptroller for the Night Shift. A wannabe doctor who had to drop out of med school because of vision problems, Ragosa is a real bureaucrat for whom the bottom line seems to be everything. Rodriguez joins recently cast Eoin Macken.
Rodriguez, repped by UTA and manager Robbie Kass, stars in the Weinstein Co.’s Seal Team 6*, which premieres this Sunday on National Geographic. He recently wrapped a lead role in Randall Miller’s indie CBGB. Rodriguez’s series credits include Ugly Betty and Chaos.
* Seal Team 6 is another NMFilm Production
