On January 12 – 13 the third annual Albuquerque Comic Con will hit NEW MEXICO at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino!
Personally, I like what Disney has done with their purchase of New York City…ABC is doing quite well, and I have no doubt that if a port for Disney Cruise Lines in New Mexico would suit them, the Walt Disney Company could pull it off!
I have long been awaiting a sizable investment in the Land of Enchantment by the multinational mass media conglomerate. After all we have seen them here, from the Avengers to The Lone Ranger, Disney has built it and COME!
With the recent purchase of all things Lucas how long will it be until we’re all suited-up in our Storm Trooper best? Hell, most of us are replete with prêt-à-porter Tatooine garb!
We’ve also got no shortage of Fanbois and girls (both domestic and imported)! From our ever growing and increasingly acclaimed Comic & Sci-fi Conventions to the long lived lore of being the birthplace of the Alien Autopsy, we are proudly geekcentric!
Now that the rumblings have begun, via the inbox@oneheadlightink.com, that the Imperial scout-abouts have landed in NM, every Star Warsophile should sit-up and take notice!

In an exciting twist this weekend’s expo offers us lowly blah, blah bloggers an opportunity to be a part of it all:
Best web blog coverage of the sci Fi expo win the blogger TWO media passes to the Albuquerque Comic Con in January as the official Albuquerque Comic Con blog team.
Just post each day at least one 4 minute spots per day on YouTube but total coverage will be a factor in choosing winner.
Albuquerque’s Tall Tales Comics is not only participating but they are stepping it up in big, big ways!
From Tall Tales:
We are looking for Costumed Superheroes to work at Tall Tales Saturday May 7th to help us gather food for the Albuquerque Store House, and to travel with us to local children’s hospitals (Carrie Tingley, UNMH, and Presbyterian) to see that they get free comic books too.
Anyone with ideas is welcome to bring them to us. We are looking for makeup artists to help with face painting, costume makers, and volunteers of all kinds. If you can bring a great attitude, and a superhero spirit we need you Saturday May 7th.
Special Guests [include] Neil Brown Jr. and Anthony Guajardo from the Walking Dead.
Want to get free tickets to the [next] Albuquerque Comic Con and the Albuquerque Sci Fi Expo?
