Pop. Poli. Weighing Your Barack-o-tunities

In today’s edition of Popular Politics – Say what you will about proposed healthcare reform by the current administration. All I can speak to is my personal experience in which at least one Barack-o-tunity is working and what’s going on in an area where there’s none.
We took advantage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act by installing energy efficient windows in our home. The local business that benefited from our purchase made no fewer than four follow-up calls to ensure our satisfaction with their products and services over the process of demo and installation.
On the other hand our relative has been in and out of hospitals, urgent care and emergency rooms for months now following a flawed emergency surgery. Said relative has had to demand test results, after being largely ignored or dismissed by multiple “care providers”, which revealed a physical malady that will require additional surgery to prevent another critical situation.
All the energy efficient windows are holding up well, our relative is awaiting the next available Operating Room appointment.
