UPDATE 5/8/12:( After a promising report that Tin Star had not been kicked to the curb and effectively maintained a pulse upon delivery to its network earlier in the year, the prospective series, Tin Star has now gone the way of another New Mexico/TNT Network pilot; The Rabbit Factory pilot filmed here back in 2010.
Here is the full scoop on the dump from Deadline.

GATEWAY, the Western television series pilot Warner Horizon Television filmed in New Mexico under the name “Tin Star” last fall, has reportedly received the greenlight.
According to a December 2011 press release, TNT had ordered a slew of new shows aimed to fill the 2012-2013 season, and now our sources tell us that we can expect the series to return for regular production.
Gateway is a “Western saga revolving around three brothers who step in to save their town when their father, the town sheriff, is murdered. The brothers are pitted against a corrupt cattle baron who is determined to make the town his own. The cast includes 1Cam Gigandet, Keir O’Donnell, David Denman, 4Karen Allen, Ana De La Reguera, 2Keith Carradine, 3Donal Logue, Shanno Lucio, Eric Lang, Anthony Lapaglia and Bill Sadler.”
The TNT show is expected to join the A&E western drama series, LONGMIRE now in pre-production right here in New Mexico!
Very good news, if it holds to be true, as the state is set to say goodbye to both Breaking Bad and In Plain Sight this year.

As announced by the New Mexico Film Office last week, a film version of the story behind the Navy SEAL mission that ultimately killed Osama Bin Laden is now filming outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The film is titled after the mission itself, Code Name: Geronimo.
Cam Gigandet who recently starred in the NM production of the TNT pilot Tin Star leads the cast which also features Kathleen Robertson, William Fichtner, Robert Knepper, Kenneth Miller, Anson Mount, Freddy Rodriguez, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Xzibit.
Directed by John Stockwell, written by Kendall Lampkin, Code Name: Geronimo “tells the story of the manhunt for Osama Bin Laden and serves as the riveting backdrop for a gripping story about the combined efforts of an extraordinary group of Navy SEALs. This is the story of a clandestine operation, a perfect storm of people, and the rare synergy of circumstances that would amount to the most daring military operation of our generation, inspired by the true story of how it almost fell apart.”
New Mexico’s Own Tony Mark, producer of the Oscar winning war film, The Hurt Locker is producing with Nicolas Chartier and Zev Foreman.
Production is expected to wrap by the end of the month with a projected 2012 release.
The Santa Fe New Mexican has released this image of a Bin Laden compound replica built at the New Mexico State Penitentiary for the film:

Locals casting update: here

TNT shot into NM in late 2010 with a high voltage pilot for The Rabbit Factory…unfortunately the series did not get the green light.
But the TNT television network is headed BACK!
This time with the saucy Cam Gigandet (Burlesque, Easy A) in the lead.
Gateway aka Tin Star is the story of three brothers who step in to save their town when their sheriff father is murdered, pitting them against a corrupt cattle baron determined to make the town his own.
My lady friends (not me & not Bridgette) might be interested in a little google search of his name, as it is quickly fills itself in as “Cam Gigandet shirtless”…(I’m looking at you Andrea, Lisa, Mykel)
Anyhoo…the pilot, set in 1880’s Colorado, is slated to roll film right here in NM within the next few months!
Coveted Dexter, The Big Bang Theory, and Deadwood guest star Keith Carradine is also on tap to star in a sexy brothers three surrogate-dad type role.
Local principals are quietly being screened…UPDATES TO FOLLOW
