Was Johnny Depp at this weekend’s Albuquerque Comic-Expo? Fellow film star and comic legend The Real Stan Lee was!
While Stan Lee made his highly anticipated appearance at the Expo this weekend, rumors swirled on the floor of the convention center when attendees began to whisper that The Lone Ranger star may have made his disguised way through the crowds.
From the top of the comic-book world totem pole, Lee tweeted graciousness toward Depp who is filming TLR in the Q with:
We purposely came to #Albuquerque late, ‘cause I knew #JohnnyDepp was shooting here today, and I didn’t want to have all the attention of everybody taken away from him and centered on me… And I thought that was the least I could do for a fellow movie star.

If you found yourself oddly taken with a “mad hatted”, grey bearded chap at Sunday’s Expo, you may have been comic-crazed face to superstar and newly anointed Comanche, disguised face with Johnny Depp! Did you see him there? Some OHI readers think they did.
Who and what will be spotted getting their COSMIC on at the upcoming Roswell Cosmic-con & Film Festival??? Perhaps a Foo or two? How killer would a Depp Foo jam be any day of the week!?!?

The lifelong muse and immortal beloved of Tim Burton is in town for her part in Disney’s The Lone Ranger movie.
While New Mexico is known for playing it cool and letting our visiting celebs go about their b’niss uninterrupted like…Helena Bonham Carter was particularly unbothered by the kindest gentlest local celeb in town when they were face to face at our own uptown Trader Joe’s.
If she’d been a snake, she couldda bit him. But our unassuming, beloved morning radio show bearer of sunshine and light, Donnie Chase of 100.3 The Peak couldn’t have ID’d the star to save his life or hers when they recently crossed paths.
The star encounter sighting prompted a storm of celeb encounter reports on the JTD Morning Show facebook page.

LIVE and in person the action star poses with OHI fave Jackamoe Buzzell.
Tuesday night The Last Stand star stopped-in at ABQ celebrity hot-spot Vernon’s, where the larger than life Governator was flanked by NM’s Own superstar Jackamoe Buzzell.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and co. have been in New Mexico since October filming his leading-man return to the big screen.
The modern day western, also starring Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander, Luis Guzmán, and Forest Whitaker is set for a January 2013 release.
