Kutch in Space, New Mexico Style

Posted by on March 21, 2012 | Comments Off on Kutch in Space, New Mexico Style

Moore may be reticent on a return to New Mexico, but Kutcher is reportedly signed-up for the $200K space flight via NM’s Own Spaceport America!

Commercial space adventure pioneer, Sir Richard Branson announced his latest star client Monday saying, “I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.”

MTV News Reports (sans mention of NM):

When you’re a single guy in your 30s making more than $700,000 per episode on a sitcom, there isn’t much that’s out of your financial reach. Wanna go out and buy a car today with cash? Go for it. Hell, buy two!

That and the actor’s “whatever, dude” attitude might explain why British adventure billionaire Richard Branson announced on his blog this week that Ashton Kutcher, 34, has signed up to be the 500th space tourist on Branson’s Virgin Galactic airlines. The suborbital spacecraft will give passengers a few minutes of weightlessness at a cost of $200,000 per ride.

Branson expects to launch a test flight beyond the Earth’s atmosphere this year and possibly start sending commercial passengers into space in 2013 or 2014 on its six-passenger jets.

Of course, that’s if things progress on track. In the meantime, we were wondering: What other kinds of outer-limits adventures or experiences Ashton could have while he’s awaiting a shot at the great beyond? » Read the full post

Breaking Back – White on White

Posted by on January 10, 2012 | 2 comments

With pre-production set to start in late February and shooting beginning in early March, NM nay the world (which is learning that NM is is indeed a part of the continental United States, largely thanks to the series) is bracing to say, “Adios” to its beloved Breaking Bad.

Though the Emmy winning series is not much for stunts, other than those supremely scripted twists and turns that leave hearts pounding and mouths agape season after season, there is a line of big name, rabid fans who pine to partake of a guest starring role.

New Mexico’s own Demi touts the series, Coco knows it’s the best show on television and now Jaleel (formerly known as Urkel) White wants in!

The Wrap

“I would love to be on ‘Breaking Bad,'” says Jaleel White, best known for playing teen nerd Steve Urkel on nine seasons of the sitcom “Family Matters.” He repeats for emphasis: “I would love to be on “Breaking Bad.”

Silly? Well, you may have not even realized you were seeing White taking on a serious role here and there (see Dreamgirls, House, Psych, Boston Legal) since his Urkel days, and the man can act sans high-waisted denim, suspenders and horn rims, with a strikingly stern and handsome repose.

Yes he’s still funny. Seen below in the 2009 teaser trailer for the web series “Road to the Altar”. Too silly? Well as The Wrap mused, maybe as silly as the hap hazard, oft befuddled and bumbling dad from “Malcolm in the Middle” heading the gritty drama in three time Emmy winning style…

If anyone could seamlessly write the likes of everyone from a Jaleel White or Conan O’Brien to a Demi Moore or (my own personal suggestion) Neil Patrick Harris into the jewel of New Mexico productions crown, it would be the all star team of Breaking Bad writers.

Split or no split, change works for Demi and Demi WORKS for change. From her self-made superstardom, to her politics, to her word wide humanitarianism, New Mexico’s Own Demi Moore is the queen of re-invention and vitality.

THAT is why as a state focused entertainment and issues organization we tapped local film makers and NM’s Ultimate Party Rock Band to create a plea, nay the “Ultimate Rock Party Postcard” dedicated to New Mexico’s estranged daughter, inviting her to come home.

We set our sights on New Mexico’s most well known, global goodwill ambassador inviting her to COME BACK to her home state where the star could no doubt enact and inspire change that even the most down trodden New Mexican could get behind.

We say, think globally, act locally, and no starker contrast can be made between our struggling state and the star shine of our own NM native Demi Moore.

As we did on her birthday, at Christmastime and again on Valentine’s Day we continue to extend the invite to NM’s favorite star to COME BACK, where we’d all like to see her at work in NM Film, active in NM Politics and flexing her star power in initiating local humanitarianism.

After all, inspire a child, help a mother, feed a family here and enact the change we all would like to see in the whole of the world.

Go New Mexico! Get Demi back!

Coco Knows Perfection

Posted by on January 21, 2011 | 3 comments

Like our long lost, Roswell born, Mrs. Kutcher, Coco too gives his stamp of approval on the “perfection” that is NM’s Own Breaking Bad.

Conan O’Brien recently shared his feelings on our beloved, EMMY winning series with USA Weekend saying:

“I see some people doing the best television there’s ever been. Breaking Bad — I think I’ve watched every episode — is the closest thing to perfection I’ve seen on TV.”

Foo Ties 15

Posted by on October 15, 2010 | 2 comments

Waaay back in ’05 the scrumptiousness that is the Foo Fighters visited the geographic locale that inspired their imprint record label, sleevage even their very name…

Foo Fighters was the World War II Fighter Pilot given moniker of the supernatural looking, green hued, glowing orbs now known as UFOs…most famously sighted and allegedly stored in the So. N.Mex. town – at the former Walker Air Force Base where the Foo’s performed to celebrate their 10th anniversary…Five years ago.

Because they’ve been here, to the birthplace of both Alien Autopsy & Demi Moore and because this is one of the hottest songs of all time…I gotta give ’em a scorcher on the Scoville Scale of NM Caliente!

May-haps if guided by the lights of Alien aircraft en route to Roswell, teamed with visuals of the Q we now know Demi has mind-banked (thanks to the confirmation that she watches the Emmy winning NM Production Breaking Bad)…we have a chance of NM’s Own Demi Gene Guynes finding her way back to her home state in support of the local film industry.

¿Et tu Demi?

Posted by on September 1, 2010 | 5 comments

It’s been a long time since Demi Moore was a but a child from Roswell New Mexico. She’s experienced quite the trajectile ride from Area 51 to center stage/screen, global dogooding, to gyrating on rappers and her youthful hubs.

But something the Dems ain’t done es una película de Nuevo México. Yes, from the time she absconded to and conquered La, la land, to her infamous purchases of small town America and commendable humanitarian efforts…N. Mex hasn’t seen much of ‘er.

Let’s git’ wit Mrs. Kutcher (@mrskutcher) and ask her when she’s coming home, who does she want for her home state’s first Governess, when she’s gonna make a flick here, etc., etc.

Because we is good people – from So. Nem. to N. 25 and everywhere in-between, whose booming film industry could really use a boost from her wattage – a little love from the Roswellian could result in more j-o-b-s which she could help parlay in to more philanthropic ways from we her neglected homies.

Before you hate on me (y’all didn’t even know she did half this stuff till I tol’ you) for bein’ hater I ain’t hatin’ I’m just callin’ a sister back home.

The Dems is currently betwixt Chi-town, Motor City and Gay Paree shooting the sure to be cinematic gold LOL: Laughing Out Loud with Miley Cyrus (who filmed her BIG Hannah Montana movie in her home state of Tennessee…hmmmm).

Maybe Dems, Kutch and the affable Willis can star in the sure to be remade Threesome, N. Mex Style…a.k.a. two slabs of beef with extra cheese!

And p.s. if Moore has any trouble finding us…NPH can show her the way ;)

NM’s Golden Globen Girls on V-Day

Posted by on February 4, 2010 | One comment

  • Julia Roberts : – Jeg skal strippe
  • Julia Roberts Rayakan Valentine dengan Seks
  • Julia isi petrece marea parte a timpului liber la ferma sa din New Mexico cu Danny sigemenii…

NM’s Own Pretty Woman had ’em squawkin’ from Deutschland to Ireland over her racy Valentines Day advice to a perky reporter during a press stop for her latest film of the same name.

Jules’ advice was simple, as is the general male of the species she may have unwittingly implied when suggesting, dinner, a drink and “take your top off!”

Above is the artfully photoshopped melding of two of NM’s Own, a certain Roswell native, a-topped with Jules’ head to really drive home the message.

The incomparable, veteran actress and fellow New Mexican Shirley MacLaine also stars in the new Gary Marshall film which opens February 12.

p.s. Demi doesn’t actually appear in the Valentine’s Day movie, but she lends her cub to dull the ache of watching scenes with Miseralba.
