Not since Breaking Bad MADNESS first broke wide open, has our traffic meter hit the kind of highs it’s hitting with the quick success of the A&E series Longmire.
Since its “distinctive premiere”, the quickly green-lit, highly anticipated, contemporary western drama set in WYO is exploding in our search terms, “where is Longmire filmed?”, “Stars of Longmire”, and “Longmire Television Series”.
Goooooooooooooal New Mexico! After the sad goodbye to In Plain Sight earlier this year and the absolutely heart wrenching, impending farewell to our beloved Breaking Bad, Longmire is a bright light in #NMFilm futures sights!
To feed you more awesome, upon awesome in touting New Mexico Film, all reports coming in here say that the CBS series pick-up of the Dennis Quaid 60s era drama will return to New Mexico to shoot! Here’s hoping those (multiple) rumors are TRUE!
In any case we can confirm, proof positive that once again…the WORLD is watching New Mexico Film!
Two beloved figures in scripted drama, near and dear to the hearts and wallets of many in the New Mexico Film industry have inked deals to work new projects as the sun sets on their respective 5 year long NM series.
Mary McCormack is making the move from dramatic series Fed to sitcom mom. The In Plain sight star has been cast to lead a new comedy pilot from the mind behind the HIGHlarious New Adventures of Old Christine.
In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack, has lined up her next series gig, playing the lead in Kari Lizer’s untitled ABC comedy pilot (aka The Unprofessional). The multi-camera comedy, from Warner Bros. TV, centers on Hilary Pfeiffer-Dunne (McCormack), a high-powered executive who, having dominated the corporate America for years, now faces the biggest challenge of her life when she finds herself unemployed and acting as a full-time mom to her two teenagers.
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has signed a new overall deal with the studio behind the acclaimed AMC drama series, Sony Pictures TV. The rich 18-month pact kicks in retroactively to November, when Gilligan’s previous deal with the studio expired (he has been working on the show without a contract for the past three months), and will keep him at Sony though June 2013. The deal covers Gilligan’s services as executive producer/showrunner on the final 16 episodes of Breaking Bad, which will begin production in late March. The order will be filmed in two batches of eight episodes, with a break of several months between for writers to work on scripts. The pact also includes development component, with Gilligan expected to focus on new projects for Sony after he wraps Breaking Bad.
You can bet we’ll be following these two developments for you ABQ. Here’s hoping we’ll see these two back in NM productions!
After all, ABC/ABC Family (parent co. Disney) is no stranger to NM and Vince Gilligan has conveyed more than an affinity for the Land of Enchantment…to be continued…
The “fifth and final” phenomenon strikes New Mexico twice this year as Albuquerque is in the midst of taking its final turn as backdrop and host to USA Network’s hit series In Plain Sight.
Albuquerque Mayor Richard J. Berry touts the production saying, “The cast and crew have been instrumental in showcasing our city’s natural beauty, and creating jobs by staffing 90% of their crew with New Mexico residents.”
Mary Mac & Co. have called NM their IPS home since 2007.
The final season is currently on location in downtown Albuquerque (as spotted here) and surrounding areas – polishing off the series from their longtime home base in I-25 Studios.
Season five premiers on March 16 and concludes in May.
So as New Mexico preps to bid a sad, but fond farewell to the production, as in the case of its sister series Breaking Bad, this is last call!
On Location Casting is seeking BABIES for the upcoming fifth and final season of the USA Network television series “In Plain Sight ”which is filmed in the Albuquerque, NM area.
We are hoping that you might know someone or could possibly help us spread the word about our need for twins/triplets.
At the end of last season, our lead actress Mary McCormack’s character was pregnant. At the beginning of this season, she will have given birth to a baby girl. (Mary recently gave birth to her own baby girl in real life!)
Due to limitations in how many hours we can have a baby on set, we are hoping to find a couple sets of twins or triplets who will take turns playing our lead baby.
-Caucasian Identical TWINS or TRIPLETS who will be age 6 months beginning January 9th, 2012. Would have been born on or about 7/9/11. Can be male/male, female/female or male/female as long as they look similar. Blonde hair, light colored hair or no hair preferred.
-Caucasian Identical TWINS or TRIPLETS who will be age 5-7 weeks beginning January 9th, 2012. Would have been born on or about 11/28/11. Can be male/male, female/female or male/female as long as they look similar. Blonde hair, light colored hair or no hair preferred.
-Caucasian Identical TWINS or TRIPLETS who will be age 1-2 weeks (NEWBORN) beginning January 9th, 2012. Would have been born on or about 12/26/11. Can be male/male, female/female or male/female as long as they look similar. Blonde hair, light colored hair or no hair preferred.
Parents interested in this opportunity would need to be available to be on set with their babies and have flexible schedules to be able to work with our filming schedule. Filming is currently scheduled to take place from January 9th, 2012 until the first week of April in Albuquerque, NM.
Pay rate for babies is $250.00 per day for each baby.
If interested, please email us ASAP at: onlocationcastingNM@yahoo.com with the subject line IPS Babies. Please include 2-3 photos of your babies, names, ages, weight, parent name and contact number. We will be scheduling in person meetings for the week on January 3rd-6th, 2012.
If you are expecting twins to be born on or about 12/26/11 and are interested in this opportunity, please send us an email expressing interest (since you probably don’t have photos of the babies yet!) and we will contact you on 1/3/11 to follow-up and set up a meeting.
For further questions – please CALL us at 505-366-9863
SEEKING BABIES for the upcoming, fifth season of “In Plain Sight“. When filming begins in January 2012, we will need CAUCASIAN TWINS or TRIPLETS (boy, girl or combination – GIRLS preferred) who can play “Mary’s” baby.
Babies will need to be 7 months old (or small 8-9 months old) as of the second week of January. Parent MUST have flexible schedule to be available for approx. (4) months of filming with their child.
Now that we’re all back at work or at the free clinic you’ll likely need some reading material.
Here in two back issues of popular magazines you’ll find some relief from the travesties of the world (chief among them front and center on mag #1).
Crack the cover and in the pictured issue of People magazine, Albuquerque series star Mary McCormack gives an inside look (literally) into her life on set filming her USA network hit series In Plain Sight.
Within the pages of O’s Summer Bliss Issue you’ll be treated to an aha! moment a la NM’s Own beloved Bryan Cranston, star of AMC’s Emmy winning series Breaking Bad.
Both Albuquerque based productions will be returning to TV in just days. The latest episode of In Plain Sight will air on Sunday July 10 and the SEASON PREMIERE of Breaking Bad airs Sunday July 17 – just the thought takes my breath away…
Will the new “monkey on your back” that is the fly on the wall return? Will Gale survive? Will Gomez ever get that Bloomin Onion? Will Lisa, Andrea and I (et al) melt w/every Jesse, “Yo!”?
Visit the Albuquerque Isotopes site here and please get your tickets to come out and show your support for New Mexico’s Own nationally recognized educational, developmental and humanitarian organization, Youth Development Incorporated. Celebrate and renew the assistance and inspiration YDI has brought to the children of NM for forty years! Visit YDI online at YDInm.org to get involved!
When Mary McCormack and her IPS team took the win at the Little League exhibition game right here in the Q a couple weeks ago, apparently there was a littlest MVP on the field with the star!
E! Online reports that D’Lovely star of NM’s Own hit series, In Plain Sight is expecting! Mary McCormack and her husband Michael Morris welcome baby number three, lil’ bro or sis to big sisters Margaret & Rose!
Marshall Mary on the series will get the bump of joy written into this season’s storyline making for some big twists and surprises!
CONGRATULATIONS mother Mary & Family from your New Mexico familia!
Weekend winds blew more than dust in our faces and weeds into our yards…Sunday afternoon, a breath of fresh air was brought to the fields of Altamont Little League for a Celebrity Softball game.
NM may be famed for its hot air in the fall, but spring softball brought some in the form of smack talk from none other than In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack as Mare-bear more than copped to on Twitter to NM’s Own Resident Goodfella Jackamoe Buzzell!
Mac also tweeted a pic from the game of the IPS head cheerleader also known as Kent Parker, the man who dresses sessy Mary for her turn as sexy Marshall Mary in the show.
Whether it was the wind, the smack talk or that head cheerleader – we’ll never know for sure but IPS eked a win out over Albuquerque’s beloved Breaking Bad cast and crew in the Little League exhibition game.

Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip (NBC’s class of ’06-’07) makes a move, of sorts. Two of the stars of the axed show will be re-teaming for a brand spanking new TNT detective, drama series that will begin shooting in the Q next month.
The series is based on the Marshall Karp novel The Rabbit Factory. The story will follow two detectives, – “Lomax & Biggs” in their life of sleuthery, debacles and hopefully some-time debauchery, whilst navigating their way through mysteries and life as a dynamic duo.
Allan Loeb, screenwriter of the iconic, big screen sequel Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is at the helm of the production that pairs famed Wings actor Steven Weber and member of the original Kings of Comedy actor/comedian/host D.L. Hughley as the leads.
