As the biggest production get of the outgoing NM State Film commission nay the biggest production get in the history of the state the Avengers have brought New Mexico global recognition, excitement, jobs and an influx in tourism!

Now CHECK-OUT the above poster for Marvel’s Avengers as on display at the International Licensing Expo in Las Vegas last week – all three Avengers who recently rocked out with Mötley Crüe in the Q are shown as they will appear in the movie and in the plethora of merchandising sure to follow…

Movies.ie also notes, “Captain America’s modern suit which has wings on the helmet along with an idea of what Hawkeye will look like…the Iron Man suit has been updated too.”

These and more of the Albuquerque adopted super heroes are still in our midst as production rolls on this week. Meanwhile New Mexico represents on the big screen as host to some of the highly skilled hands of Sony Imageworks that touched-up the current box office topper The Green Lantern.

YOU still have a chance to put YOUR hand, face and/or feet in The Avengers if you can make it out for what’s really, really HOT IN CLEVELAND:

Producers will see people 18 and older
12-4 p.m. July 15
10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 16
at the Holiday Inn
6001 Rockside Road
Independence, OH (just outside the land of Cleve.)

As in the case of casting in the Q this call sheet too advises that people “come well-groomed…wearing your best business executive outfit,” Adults may submit “current pictures of children under 18” for consideration as possible extras.

The Avengers will shoot for approx. two weeks within 30 miles of Cincinnati – Enjoy your influx O-hi!

People should “come well-groomed and wearing your best business executive outfit,” the call sheet said. Adults also may submit “current pic tures of children under 18” for consideration as possible extras.

IRON MAN has been spotted in the Q.

Like habitual New Mexico movie star Seth Rogen, his fellow funny men and gajillions of Hollywood celebs who take to the hills, whether it be for work or rec, RDJ was getting his hike on in Albuquerque TODAY!

No official word on what Iron Man is here for but gossip abounds that he may be set to shoot his scenes for a little film called THE AVENGERS, duh!

The Final Countdown

Posted by on November 15, 2010 | 2 comments

First they titillated with this now they…tantalize with this (above), the first of what are sure to be many movie posters for the highly anticipated NM Film Cowboys & Aliens.

And the countdown has begun for the first glimpse of the official trailer in T-minus 1 day 23 hours…

We got an early look at Wednesday’s Cowboys & Aliens trailer. We learned Daniel Craig’s alien-fighting cowboy puts James Bond to shame, Harrison Ford has never been nastier, and this really is both serious western and serious alien invasion movie. – io9

The New Mexico Movie opens WIDE July 27, 2011 and we WANT a premiere!

Marvel Tickles with NM Hammer

Posted by on May 2, 2010 | 3 comments

UPDATE: Video clips still avail. via YouTube.

NM’s Own Thor makes a dent in the end credits of the forthcoming Marvel epic Iron Man 2. The easter-egg cameo kicks up NM desert dust when the Land of Enchantment plates roll into frame where the hammer of the Thunder God has apparently been discovered…dun, dun, dun.

It’s pretty awesome looking. As the footage is so obviously pirated, it will surely be promptly removed…catch it while you can.

But more importantly let it tickle your titillators and scoot you into theaters to support the hot flick that has digitals a la College of Santa Fe, multiple NM filmers Rourke and RDJ and the upcoming comic dream by Iron Man’s Jon Favreau. Go New Mexico!

These two, who’ve so obviously been badly beaten with an ugly stick, are heading to NM. And like the words truffle butter and brownie, that brings on all kinds of warm.

The quietest gazillionare/movie mogul Jon Favreau, known first and favorably to me as the super rich guy on Friends is bringing his sure to be a hit, Cowboys and Aliens to New Mexico this Summer and according to ubercaster of NM’s desert sky stars, Elizabeth Gabel:

“…we will need men to grow out their facial hair, especially the mutton chops and mustaches. Please start growing hair now and send me an updated photo at elizabeth@egcasting.com or mail one to
Elizabeth Gabel

Albuquerque, NM 87108

Women will have to have long hair and we will cast in smaller sizes: size 8 and below, sorry it is a wardrobe availability problem.” – EG Casting
