Mickey Mouse likes the house that New Mexico built. Disney is the parent co. to ABC, ABC Family, ~Dreamworks and Marvel, all of whish (Messican typo, that stays) have worked NM productions – from multiple television pilots, tv movies, to a couple lil’ family films like Thor and The Avengers.
Now ABC has a budding prime-time drama series hit on their hands that has some NM paw prints all over it.
Series star, Emily Van Camp is a NM movie vet with her work on the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Beyond the Blackboard. As we told you here the sweet hometown boy in the show is played by NM native Nick Wechsler. And as we’ve been following here, we anxiously await the directorial debut of Revenge villainess vixen extraordinairess, Madeline Stowe – which is slated to bring WOLVERINE and Edward/Jacob or whoever Robert Pattinson plays in Twilight to New Mexico!
So ICYMI: The show is awesome and easily scores a 4 on the Scoville Scale of hotness for its New Mexico connections alone and a solid 10 for its viewability – LOVE IT!

Thanks to an anonymous ;) tip this Pretty New Mexican has recently been brought to our attention!
Striking what is rapidly becoming my favorite pose – NM’s Own Nick Wechsler is the male lead in ABC’s new drama series Revenge.
For his Harlequinesque factor alone this native New Mexican’s return to television is causing a buzz, and a blip on the “radar” of tvline.com where he’s been named a highly anticipated “Fresh Face of Fall”!
The Albuquerque born & raised, Highland H.S. graduate will begin heating-up the primetime lineup when Revenge premieres Wednesday September 21.
Another pretty New Mexican is coming-up quick in the 21st century version of Charlie’s Angels, premiering September 22 on ABC.
Iowa raised, Q born Annabeth Gish can be seen in 5 episodes of the ABC Family drama Pretty Little Liars which spawned the spin-off The Lying Game now filming…
Two more natives can be seen on a couple of little shows you may have heard of:
Neil Patrick Harris stars in his seventh season of How I Met Your Mother on CBS and again on ABC Albuquerque’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson returns in the #1 comedy on TV, Modern Family!
Footnote: ABC’s parent company is Disney – WE LOVE YOU MICKEY!
And here’s lookin’ at you Nicky!

The film that’s been purportedly headed our way for a couple of years now is apparently eying a Spring shoot!
New reports around Madeline Stowe’s vision for Unbound Captives now say pre-production will begin after the first of the year.
The big names tied to the film all along remain in place including Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson as written and directed by Stowe…
Speculation remains that the “large romantic Western” will roll New Mexico Style!

For Hesh
As Megan Fox does her part(s) to get young Hollywood, NM blood pumping the Twilightiac nation may make your blood run cold. Team Pattinson is sure to lose their collective mind when the world’s most brooding vampire swoops into New Mexico.
Back in May we reported that the magnificent Madeline Stowe will direct Wolverine in The Unbound Captives. It has since been confirmed that the most money making blood-sucker of all time will star as Jackman’s son in the film.
Stowe also wrote the screenplay for the movie which is slated to begin production in NM by the end of the year, set for release…all together now…in 2010.

Projected for release in 2010 The Unbound Captives will begin filming the end of this year here in New Mexico and in New Zealand.
The mega-budget feature will be the 100th film for Hollywood Producer Ashok Amritraj, written and directed by the beautiful and talented Madeline Stowe (Twelve Monkeys, Stakeout). The film will also star Rachel Weisz and stalker fave Robert Pattinson.
