It is in those halls and at these events where the future of film legislation, economic development and film job talks take shape – GET INTO IT!

If you don’t remember the “Breaking Bad Bill” and how it impacts New Mexico productions here is a refresher.

New Mexico Film Champions never say die in fight to gain more productions.

Persevering efforts such as the support and passage of that bill are what keep the state’s film industry alive and healthy. Production benefits, amazing facilities and unparallelled talent & crew base are what continue to build New Mexico back up to its full potential as a global hot spot for film and media.

As soon as news of the “Breaking Bad Bill” flooded the nation’s industry wire, the local industry enjoyed an uptick of projects going from “pending” to a “go”, with series pilots and series runs such as “The Night Shift” and “Killer Women” putting New Mexicans back to work. More series and films are headed down the pike.

So let’s get ready and get behind the business of more business for New Mexico. #NMFilm support means more private sector jobs & industry growth!

Title your email, “NIGHT SHIFT MILITARY”.

New Mexico Production NBC's The Night Shift

Background casting for upcoming scenes in The Night Shift, a new NBC television series filming in Albuquerque.

White Turtle Casting is looking for all different looks, ethnicities, cowboys and cowgirls, interesting character faces, men with the big moustaches and beards, Texas looks, amputees, gangsters, punk – EVERYTHING. Nothing is too out there.

To be considered for Background Roles, emailextras@ whiteturtlecasting.com.

Title your email, “NIGHT SHIFT BACKGROUND”. Please make sure your ONE email submission contains ALL of the following:

Name, current contact number, height, weight, current picture of yourself (no blurry or artsy photos, just YOU and what you REALLY look like). Also, please include your availability, e.g., available 24/7, or only available Mon-Wed, etc.

From NBC:

At San Antonio Memorial, those who work the 7pm – 7am shift are a special breed. Welcome to the night shift, where every day is a fight between the heroic efforts of saving lives and the hard truths of running a hospital. After a grueling tour of duty in Afghanistan, adrenaline junkie TC Callahan became accustomed to combat, but he could have never guessed that his toughest battles would be fought right here at home. TC and his irreverent team of late night docs know how to let off steam with the casual prank or two, but when lives are at stake, they are all business.

Unfortunately, the night shift is now under new management, and boss Michael Ragosa is more interested in cutting costs than helping people. But TC has never met a rule he couldn’t break, or a person he won’t stand up to. And it’s clear that not even Jordan, TC’s ex-girlfriend and now Ragosa’s second in charge, has a chance at keeping him in line. If Ragosa wants a war… he’ll get one.

Executive producers/writers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid”).
