New Mexico Actress Goes to the Dogs

New Mexico Actress Lora Cunningham raising money for dog resucueimage via the taos news

Beloved New Mexico based actress, Lora Cunningham, is in the midst of marking a big birthday year and rather than a flashy Hollywood style hullabaloo, this down to earth performer and acting instructor is staying true to her roots and her heart by focusing on pet rescue as part of her celebration.

THIS FRIDAY, Cunningham is inviting friends & fellow animal welfare supporters to join her at her very own fundraiser that looks suspiciously like a really good time!

“This birthday is a big one, and I want to make it count!

Come celebrate with me, and The Sandia Bar will donate 10% of the night’s profits to the wonderful local animal shelter, Almost Home New Mexico. They take in the animals other shelters are going to kill– the old, the sick, the ones considered “unadoptable” for whatever reason. Almost Home New Mexico keeps and cares for them, while finding them foster and hopefully forever homes.

The photo on this invitation is of one of my sister’s dogs, Josh. He was abandoned in the Foothills. My sister was able to catch his sister, but Josh evaded her for 2 hours, until he finally lost her. He was later found in someone’s yard. They turned him over to animal control, where his right eye had to be removed, due to trauma. Almost Home nursed him to health and kept him for over a year, until my sister was able to adopt him.

I want to help these hard-working and dedicated people, so that they may continue their vitally-important work.

PLEASE JOIN ME!! :)”

NMNM's OwnRIPTalent

G. Vincent Pulli, Director of A&M Talent Agency in Santa Fe, died the morning of September 12 following a valiant three-year battle with cancer. A stalwart champion for the New Mexico film and entertainment industry, he will be sorely missed.

Vince was born August 18, 1944 and raised in suburban Philadelphia. He served in the army during the Vietnam War and ran several businesses in Pennsylvania and Florida during the 1970s and 1980s. As the Florida film industry boomed, Vince became a franchised agent for the Screen Actors Guild in 1992. After moving to Santa Fe in 2002, he joined the Santa Fe Association of Realtors and hung his license with RE/MAX but was soon drawn back to working with actors and built A&M into the largest SAG agency in the state.

Vince is survived by his wife and co-director, Elizabeth, son David, of Denver, Colorado, and sisters Cindy Godshall and Pamela Wenger, of Souderton, Pennsylvania.

Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at

Just found that one of the few people who believed in me from the very beginning six years ago, a man that I trusted, one who acted honorably both with me and on my behalf, one who had as much passion in his laughter as he did in his cussing…Vince Pulli is gone from this Earth…so very many good memories, life lessons, and growth both as a person and as an actor came as a result of knowing him…Liz, Jody Black, you are in my thoughts and prayers. – Amy Jo Larson

Vince was more than just my agent, he was a friend & father to everyone in the film community. His spirit, fight, & passion for the industry will live on through us all. – Erik Hausmanis
