The CW & MY50 Star is the face and talent for New Mexico CW (KWBQ-TV) and MY50 TV (KASY-TV). The Star will represent both stations. The position is a full time position, with some weekend and evening events. The Star must be professional in the way they handle themselves in representing the stations with the client and the public.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for day-to-day station and website marketing development and production of stations¹ promotional announcements.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Motivate viewers to watch the station and visit the station¹s website through station promotion.
Write, produce, light, shoot, and edit station promotional announcements.
Maintain a fun, collaborative and effective work environment.
Produce news topicals, image campaigns, and more.
Proficiency in television production and post-production.
Ability to write, produce, shoot, and edit.
Proficient in computer software application (ex: Final Cut Pro, ENPS, Adobe Photoshop).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education/Experience: Bachelor¹s degree with at least 2 years television promotions experience.
Training/Equipment: Computer with editing software.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements: High stress environment with deadline pressures.

When “The After After Party” first began filming in late 2010, the show’s star, co-creator, and executive producer Steven Michael Quezada never stopped emphasizing his desire to showcase local talent. In that time, “The After After Party” has served as a showcase of local musicians and comedians, proudly living up to the CW Network’s slogan, “Keeping It Local.”
In the four months that “The After After Party” has been on the air…, local and regional comics have relished the opportunity to perform in front of over 200,000 regional viewers and over 300 live audience members weekly. They have also appeared alongside major movie and television stars such as legendary actor Wes Studi, radio hosts Erika Viking, Big Moon, Crisco Kidd, and Swami Rob, and some of Quezada’s “Breaking Bad” co-stars including multiple Emmy Award winning actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston.
So far, Steven Michael Quezada has welcomed the comedic stylings of Niki Mangin, Frank Lucero, Kenny King, Freddy Charles, Chris Otero, Curt Fletcher, Nathaniel Auguston, and Silver Dominguez. In addition, some of the state’s most talented musicians have also graced “The After After Party” stage including Hillary Smith, Poema, Illustrated Man, David Wade, Alex Maryol, Juan Gambino, Fat Fish, and many others. Even “The After After Party” house band, The James Douglas Show, is based in Albuquerque.
Now, Steven Michael Quezada and the producers of “The After After Party” want to give even more local talent the opportunity to showcase their talents on the state’s new #1 late-night talk show.

This production is truly a sample of New Mexico’s finest – the professional, largely volunteer crew, students, performers and guests really brought their A-game as a community, it doesn’t get more feel-good fun than that.

I know we’re all about the re-posts lately (sowwy), but we had to note the birth of a syndicated superstar progeny that swept passed main stream media+. A son was born to Sarah Shahi (Live & The L Word) and Steve Howey (Reba & stuff) on July 9.

Syndicated superstar Steve Howey wed his ferosh, longtime girlfriend, actress Sarah Shahi back in February. Howey will live forever in rebroadcasts and DVD sales as Van Montgomery in the WB/UPN-CW series Reba. Shahi is world renowned for her work in Showtime’s original series The L Word.
The happy couple haven’t confirmed an exact due date, but their first child is due any day now. Congrats!
CW is hosting auditions for the next cycle of ANTM at Cottonwood Mall on Tuesday March 10.

You must be 18 – 27 years old
You must be 5′ 7″ or under (this is cycle 13 only)
bring your original Driver’s license or Passport and a photocopy we can keep
bring your original Social Security Card or a Birth Certificate and a photocopy we can keep (make your copy in advance)

Season 2 of AMC‘s original TV series Breaking Bad is slated to premiere January-ish. The production, filmed in New Mexico, tapped Albuquerque metro locations such as Eldorado High School and Bear Canyon Arroyo.
TV Guide reports that production on CW’s ‘Easy Money‘ was halted in October, originally scheduled to shoot in NM through early December. Let the network know if you want the show back – CW. Support the show, bring those jobs back to NM.
