Your Friday Q Spot

With the support of a solid fan base and a kick from social net Q son Ryan McGarvey is going BIG time as the Ryan McGarvey band heads to Chicago to play among Guitar Gods and Royals at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival on June 26. Fresh off multiple national shows the band just played a kick-ass set here locally at the County Line last weekend and you can catch ‘em one more time at Savoy before they head out to the show of shows.
Similarly, local actor/musician extraordinaire Gabriel Rivera is ready, set, shooting out of the stratosphere from his NM base. Gabriel stars in the Oscar eligible live action-short film Red Mesa. His musical talents have him vying for a spot at the top in Taylor Guitars and Elixir Strings Test Drive 2010, where he and his band can get outfitted with top-knotch gear and the grand prize of recording sessions at the famed Tainted Blue Studio in NYC.
