On Saturday December, 13 the Navy will christen its newest attack submarine the New Mexico. For some reason Heather Wilson (R) will be the prime speaker at the ceremony.
This is only the second military, maritime vessel named after the state. The first, Battleship Nuevo Mexico served in WWII.

Construction of the Anasazi condominiums in downtown Albuquerque came to a halt this October when the project’s developer lost $9 million financing as a result of the countries rash of bank collapses. USA Network has tapped the location to film scenes of it’s series, “In Plain Sight”. The production will be filming 16 episodes in New Mexico through May 2009. source
