Preserve an egg, reserve an egg…the precious human ova (above) – Unfertilized, unharmed, unailed.
Females are born with their ovaries and all of their approximately 2 million “eggs”, which formed in the second trimester of fetal development.
And as I’ve regaled you with before, the highest U.S. birth rates are recorded in July and August translating to most impregnations occurring in and around November.
That is why today’s been officially designated (in my mind) as “Preserve an Egg Day”, it is this day in “Zip Your Pants and Close Your Legs” (ZPCL) MONTH that I invite you to talk with girls and women in your life to remind them of just how precious every one of their millions of ova really are.
With us since before our own birth and with us til death when brought forth as to become another human being. It’s your body, it’s your call – reserve that egg or step-up in a big, big way. You seminal carriers are invited and celebrated over these holidays too!
Please refrain from unleashing your insemination if you can’t make what springs forth as a result the center of your universe and/or if your ovarian target isn’t already the most important person in your life.
Lastly, you know those horrific news reports of what goes on in this world? From the disgruntling to the completely disturbing? Spare everyone some of that by preserving an egg today!
Before Biebs was The Biebs, Halle was Halle, Conan was Coco, Stacy was Fergie, Marshall was Em’, Ripa was “& Kelly”, Britney was Brit Brit, and Zoe was Chupacabra they were all just shooting for the stars…

NM’s Own Mine That Bird is a fine specimen of breeding, athleticism and endurance, who wowed the world with his spectacular 50-1, 2009 Kentucky Derby run and win.
But it’s Black Hat donning, crutch wielding, slick talking MTB trainer Bennie Woolley who I may be most interested in seeing portrayed on the big screen.
If you don’t remember Wooley’s triumphant post race interviews where he shot off more than once that he was sick of being asked about personally driving MTB to KY for the event – then you didn’t see them.
And if the second tier storyline for the upcoming feature film about the Roswell reared, Mine That Bird doesn’t include the incessant harping unleashed on Woolley regarding that mode of transit and the insipid references to his crutches I will be gravely disappointed – it was every reporter all but putting “baby in the corner” every damn interview.
First tier has to be the awesomeness of the horse himself and third tier maybe the shank of being dropped by Judas for a dame in the Preakness which should’ve been MTB’s too!
You can watch the hot machine of fine tuned mind & muscle that is MTB take the race here – he looks particularly beautiful trotting after the race, you may want to watch it with the sound off as railyard (or whatever they call him) Borel gives his post game victory speech.
Any New-Mexico-productions-keep’em-coming…the film is slated to shoot here in 2011. Woot! Whinny! Nay!
Here is the AP press release regarding the upcoming production.
Above – Watts as Plame, Penn as Wilson/Inset – Director Doug Liman, Naomi Watts, Valerie Plame-Wilson via CBC
Retired International Spy turned Santa Fe resident Valerie Plame Wilson – will walk the premiere carpet at tonight’s special screening of the major motion picture Fair Game, which chronicles her suspenseful career as portrayed by Naomi Watts.
Plame was unceremoniously outed for her life of super-secret special CIA ops back in 2003, in what some say was an attempt to detract from assertions by Plame’s husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson that the public was being fed distorted claims of eminent nuclear threats from Iraq as formulated by the Bush administration.
A suspense-filled glimpse into the dark corridors of political power, FAIR GAME is a riveting action-thriller based on the autobiography of real-life undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame, whose career was destroyed and marriage strained to its limits when her covert identity was illegally exposed…
The Lensic will host a special Santa Fe premiere of Fair Game at 7 tonight with the $20 admission going to benefit Partners in Education.
Tickets are available at the Lensic box office, 211 W. San Fransisco St., or at the website TicketsSantafe.org here. Tickets for a 5 p.m. reception at Milagro 139 were sold out.
