Mi Voz es Su Esperanza

Official Project of the New Mexico Centennial, the Mi Voz program is NOW auditioning for the next round of classes on January 12 & 13, 2011:
We’re looking for young people 12-18 to produce, direct, shoot, and edit documentaries on New Mexico’s WWII veterans. Completed student works will be shown OFFICIALLY as a part of New Mexico’s Centennial Celebration in 2012! – Mi Voz
The program Mi Voz, from New Mexico’s Youth Development Incorporated (YDI) empowers middle school aged youth through training in all aspects of filmmaking.
“Subjects include: directing, scripting, acting and operating sound and video equipment. Through a series of lectures and hands on trainings, youth gain important developmental skills in problem solving, critical thinking and work ethic. Other benefits include: improving self-confidence, fostering creativity and teaching a means of expression.”
