Presented without, but one comment – FINALLY!
John Cena’s sexy silhouette is anxiously awaited in the New Mexico production of WWE Studio’s picture, Blood Brothers.
However the title is Blood Brothers no more. The film about renegade brothers on a mission starring Cena and Amy Smart is now titled Family Reunion.
Though the new title may evoke images of Madea more than mercenary justice the name is apparently a nod to the 2006 WWE RAW series special of the same name.
WWE Studios reports that this and three more completed productions (Inside Out, Bending the Rules and Barricade) will be released in 2011 and 2012.
Another international hottie aka Rachel Nichols worked hard in Northern N. Mex waay back in ’09 on The Loop with a bunch o’ y’all, and et tu Lupe has got a new name.
The film, based on the novel The Loop, is now titled A Bird of the Air, a whimsical story about a man in search of his past, and a woman who lives in the moment, brought together when they pursue the origins of a stray parrot in this “comedic and romantic drama”.
Whether theatrical or DVD release stay tuned for these and many, many, many MORE NM productions!!!
In the category of “this is how you do it”, your eyes doth not deceive ya’. Though tis’ a bit blurred that is the awesomeness that is John Cena taking time out from his busy shooting schedule to stop-in at Southwest Music Productions, LLC to visit with the kids and staff, pictured here with Phil Arnold, Music and Sound Supervisor.
See more candids of the star and the many locals featured in the New Mexico Production in On Location Casting’s (extras casting agency) photo album here.
The film is scheduled to wrap within the week in what seems like a whirlwind shoot that we first told you about here back in August.
We’re truly thrilled that WWE Films sent us this hunk of Angel-beef-cake in the very first of their films to shoot outside of the state of Louisiana and we sincerely, desperately and quite literally pray that WWE+++ come back to NM again soon!
Thanks John Cena for charming the whole city with your goodness (visually and demonstratively) and YOU get our “Golden Tequila Shot” of the month! Cheers!

Since we broke the news of this production coming here…many a report has come in to us of just how lovely and sweet (and incredibly rippely-muscley & totally GORGEOUS) the two stars have been around town and on set of their current WWE film Blood Brothers.
We’ve tweeted our gracias y ¡bienvenidos! to @JohnCena and now we’d like to give an official “welcome” to Miss Amy Smart!
Rest assured our birdies are tweeting but being the highly upstanding and respectable publication that is ©Sindication we will uphold our commitment to remain paparazzi free as we welcome candid pics but never publish real-time or forecasted specs of talent locations or shoots – de nada.
Here’s the breakdown of the film à la PW Torch about the first of the WWE films to shoot outside of Louisiana…
“Notable actors recruited for the movie include Ethan Embry and Boyd Holbrook as the other two brothers, Amy Smart as their sister, and Michael Rispoli as an “embittered entrepreneur” masterminding a kidnapping plot.
The movie is directed by WWE Studios head Michael Pavone. New Mexico governor Bill Richardson is complementary of WWE in the press release with 140 jobs created to assist in the movie’s production.
“These kinds of projects help promote the state’s film industry and continue to provide good, high-wage jobs for New Mexicans,” he said.
New Mexico offers tax breaks to production companies that film in the state. A WWE producer said in an interview yesterday that it’s “highly unlikely” they would have selected Albuquerque to film the movie without the tax incentive.” – PWTorch.com

Ummmmm okay, so WWE makes movies – I did not know this. And it looks like before this hawt former wrestler hits the city otro vendrá…
WWE’s latest production, currently titled Blood Brothers is slated for a 2012 release. The movie is set to shoot in the Q starting in early October. Woot!
John Cena (uh, humina humina, above) will star in the story of three brothers, a Police Officer (Cena), a Bail Bondsman and a thief seeking a reward the FBI has offered for the return of a kidnapped American billionaire being held in a Mexican dungeon (because we play that and the apocalypse so well).
The PW Insider exclusively reports that this is the first WWE film…that has not been shot in New Orleans (one of our top competitors in film production).
As always more deets to follow, ollow, ollow…
Here’s the cute, muscley goodness on hosting duty at TMZ just a few weeks ago: (¡Bienvenida a Albuquerque!)
