No stranger to working with quadrupeds, Depp Lost in La Mancha
There aren’t a lot of pictures of Johnny Depp on the internet and he’s not very good looking…but for you, my beloved online friends, I braved pages and pages of web content searching for images of the chiseled cheek bones, dreamy eyes and perfect pout that filled my seventh grade dreams (à la 21 Jump St.)…
Ehhmm, anyway…the reports are IN that Mr. Depp himself has been hard at work in ABQ over the past few days.
Über producer Jerry Bruckeimer and academy award winning director Gore Verbinski (Rango) had already landed in NM for pre-production on The Lone Ranger over the past couple of months…
Now in star sighting news of the day OHI has learned that Depp was on hand locally, completing test shots with an equine co-star.
Here for your viewing pleasure are the results of my stock image search, to help your minds eye in seeing that that would go something like this:
(you’re welcome)
From NM to NC – These two New Mexikids who were cast mates in the locally filmed Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Beyond the Blackboard are hitting the books big screen style!
Both New Mexico actors were cast in two critically acclaimed, highly anticipated novels turned films due out next year.
Odd Thomas starring Fright Night’s Anton Yelchin and Addison Timlin, currently in post production – shot right here in NM and features OHI fave Jack Justice.
The Hunger Games filming in North Carolina boasts one of New Mexico’s Own in up & comer, Willow Shields who created a buzz for landing the coveted role of Primrose Everdeen in the film as a relative unknown alongside bigger hitters like Liam Hemsworth (brother of Thor, boyfriend to Miley) Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) and Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right).
Look for both films and these rising New Mexico stars in 2012.
Because he’s one of the greatest actors of all time and for his general awesomeness we’ve taken to often asking ourselves WWBCD – What Would Bryan Cranston Do?
I can tell you he won’t win his FOURTH consecutive Emmy for playing Walter White come September…
And for those of you wondering when Breaking Bad will go ahead and take BEST DRAMA series at the Emmys, it also won’t be this year!
Breaking Bad didn’t air during the year’s nomination period and isn’t eligible…lucky for the rest of the nominees (I’m looking at you Jon Hamm).
Take-in the season premiere of Breaking Bad THIS SUNDAY NIGHT on AMC.

NM’s Own Let Me In and Thor make the cover and inside the lovely Rachel Weisz maintains that, Unbound Captives w/R. Patz & Hugh Jack is indeed production bound.
That steamy cover and the three NM links rank this glossy mag a ‘scorcher’ on the Scoville scale of HOT!
And though the printed press above boasts your “first look” at Thor the net buzz(ards) have long had your sneaks including this (censored) escándaloso snapshot scooped by Latino Review – Horale!
