The mission of Chronos is to celebrate the art of altered time perception cinematography including time-lapse, slow motion, and stop motion photography. The Chronos Film Festival will create a forum for innovation, technology, digital media and education that will encourage youth involvement through film scholarship. We are proud to partnered with YDI Digital Arts Outreach as our main beneficiary, and will also contribute monies to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of New Mexico.
The Chronos Film Festival will launch with a showing of Godfrey Reggio’s “Koyaanisqatsi” at 1200pm (noon) on Thursday, Nov 3, 2011 at the Historic KiMo Theatre in Downtown Albuquerque, with a second showing at 4:00 pm. We are also proud to announce the 2pm showing of No Restrictions Entertainment film “Mother’s Red Dress” a social issue film written and directed by Edgar Michael Bravo and Produced by John Paul Rice. We will close the evening with a film with “Commentary” a film by John Kapelos, showing at 6:00 pm. The Albuquerque Film Office is a special sponsor and contributor to these events.

Sadly Gianni passed away last night in Rhode Island, where he lived with his wife and three children.

A devoted family man as well as a “trail-blazing” photographer, Gianni is now unable to work due to the effects of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) which he has been living with for over three years. Hasbro and a team of its producers and writers are proud to offer this compilation of over 100 photo images from within Hasbro’s own creative studios to showcase Mr. Lopergolo’s unique vision and stunning artistry, while raising awareness and funds for Gianni, his family and others suffering from this crippling disease.

10:15 p.m. True Grit (1969) – Hopper found himself in the presence of “The Duke” once again with this Western about an aged marshal who helps a girl find her father’s killer. John Wayne earned an Oscar® for his performance.
12:30 a.m. Rebel Without a Cause (1955) – Hopper made his film debut as one of the rebellious youngsters in Nicholas Ray’s searing portrait of teen angst. James Dean, Natalie Wood and Sal Mineo star.
2:30 a.m. Easy Rider (1969) – Hopper became one of the most iconic figures of his generation with this groundbreaking film about a trio of societal dropouts heading to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Dennis Hopper: Photographs 1961-1967 is currently available (click here to leaf through the book), a biography by American writer Tom Folsom titled, Hopper: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream was announced before his passing, and a showing of his work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles is scheduled for July – September.
From the New Mexico Film Office, comes the call that globally renowned stock film agency Getty Images is currently seeking NM Talent for various commercial stills that will be shot here from June 1 to October 1, 2010.
“All ages are needed especially Latino seniors and children. Existing families are also needed.
We will be shooting a variety of commercial stills for print and online use with imagery to be represented through Getty Images. This is commercial lifestyle “stock” and may appear in print and online media.
We will be working at a variety of location and on set locations in the Santa Fe area. We will be shooting primarily on the weekend with shoot schedules running from half to full day.
Supermodels are not necessary but good teeth and skin are important.
A standard model release will need to be signed. Outtakes from the shoot will be provided to models for personal promotion, portfolio use.
$25.00 per hour per person with 4 hour minimum. Travel compensated within 100 mile radius.
